Specifications include, but are not limited to:The dock is suitable for 18 wheelers. Furniture respondent and/or installer is responsible for reviewing thetruck bay / dock conditions.This is a LEED building and indoor air quality is critical to its success. As long as weather permits, planto offload furniture and remove boxes and plastic outside, then take the item inside to its destination in thebuilding. The goal is to not create dust and poor indoor air quality.Since the General Contractor will still be working in the building, furniture installers must coordinatefully with building safety and coordination of dock and elevator use. All installers are required to go throughthe general contractors training/orientation and coordinate logistics.There is a freight elevator in the building that will be equipped with protective pads for our use. The centralmonumental stair (Stair #2) and public elevators will be off limits to installers. Freight Elevator #4: doorwayis 54 wide by 84 high. The elevator cab is 67 5/16 wide x 103 1/2 deep x 108 high to false ceiling.Elevator conditions to be verified in field.Proposals will be valid for a period of 60 days from date of proposal receipt.A mandatory pre-installation meeting at the project site will be held prior to installation. At this time alllead installers will need to be present and the group will be permitted to tour the building. OFPC willask for a list of names of each respondents installers.Building Protection: Furniture Respondent to provide building protection consisting of the following (atminimum): masonite for all floors corrugated cardboard may be permitted on carpeted surface (no adhesive-backed plastic sheetingallowed). It may need to be replaced more frequently than Masonite if it does not hold up to the use. cardboard corner protectors at all doorways and entries special attention shall be paid to adherence of protection material to building finishes (no tape on walls). the furniture Respondent will be charged for any damage caused to the building building protection cost may be shared by various dealers, first dealer to install shall install protectionand last dealer installer shall remove protection the general contractor is on site for general coordination only and not responsible for oversite ormanagement of FFE subs.
