Specifications include, but are not limited to:As stated in section II, our objective, through this RFP and any ensuing agreement, is to ensure the UTCLibrary receives contracted custodial service that consistently results in a clean, sanitary, andaesthetically pleasing environment. The standards listed below describe UTCs expectations regardingbuilding conditions.Obviously, ongoing building traffic prevents the building from being in pristine condition all of the time.It is UTCs expectation that the majority of building cleaning will occur after business hours, and allrestrooms, building entrances, and public areas (hallways, study areas, computer labs, classrooms,reading areas, group meeting rooms, etc.) will be brought up to the standards detailed below before thestart of business each day, then maintained as needed throughout the day.A. Floor care:1. Floors, base moldings, and grout shall be clean and free of debris including but not limited todirt, dust bunnies, water streaks, mop marks, string, gum, tar, and other foreign matter. Thefloors shall maintain their natural luster and not have a dull appearance.2. Wet mopped floors are to be cleaned using manufacturers suggested cleaners, with additionalscrubbing, if necessary. Surfaces, baseboards, and corners shall be clean and dry. Walls,baseboards, and other surfaces shall be free of splashing and markings from the equipment.There shall be no visible buildup of finish in corners or crevices.3. Cork floors will be cleaned with a neutral cleaner, no stripper, and be finished with a mattewax.4. Carpets: Build-up, spills, or crusted material shall be removed along with spots and smears.There shall be no areas of deterioration or fuzzing to the carpets and rugs as a result of harshbrushing or scrubbing. Cleaned areas of carpets and rugs shall be reasonably blended withsurrounding carpets.5. Spot cleaning carpet: Carpet surfaces shall be free of removable spots, soiled traffic patterns,dirt, liquids, dust, debris, gum, and crusted material.6. Carpet surfaces are to be free of dirt, dust, and other debris. Vacuuming shall be done at afrequency that will protect the integrity of the carpet and prolong wear.7. Mats and runners shall be free of removable spots, soiled traffic patterns, dirt, debris, gum,and crusted material. There shall be no areas of deterioration or fuzzing as a result of harshbrushing or scrubbing.8. Vacuums or battery-operated sweepers used during business hours must produce minimalnoise
