IUP seeks experienced Cooper-Bessemer LSVB engine contractors to provide engine repair servicesattheUniversityscogenerat i o n p l a n t a n d a t t h e v e n d o r s f a c i l i t y f o r c o m p o n e n t s t h a t c a n b e practically and economically transported on a time and materials basis. b) Specific. The vendor will be required to provide engine maintenance and repair services from minor repairs to complete overhauls following the proper safety, environmental, and technical aspects of working in an operating power plant. II-2 Nature and Scope of the Project. All repairs will be performed at the Universitys S.W. Jack Cogeneration Plant. Components that can be technically and economically removed may be transported t o t h e v e n d o r s f a c i l i t y f o r r e p a i r . A l l c o m p o n e n t r e m ovals must be approved by the Universitys Cogeneration Plant Manager prior to removal. Transportation of components will be the responsibility of the University or by the Contractor, upon the Cogeneration Plant Managers approval. Contractor supplied transportation of components will be done at the cost of the Contractor. II-3 Requirements. The University requires that all repairs must be performed in a safe, technically correct, and environmentally sound manner. Contractors will have access to the Universitys 5 ton/20ton overhead crane. The University will supply all parts for repairs. In the event that it is deemed necessary for the Contractor to provide materials, parts, supplies, and consumables, approved by t h e U n i v e r s i t y s C o g e n e r ation Plant Manager, the Contractor will be reimbursed at fair market price (cost) plus contractor profit margin (%) as quoted Appendix C. II-4 Tasks. The Contractor will be required to provide experienced personnel to perform Cooper-Bessemer engine repair services; such as cylinder head removal and replacement, turbocharger replacement, master rod removal and installation, cylinder liner removal and replacement, and up to and including complete LSVB engine overhaul. The number of employees required to perform services, must be agreed upon and approved by the Universitys Cogeneration Plant Manager before services are scheduled. All repairs must be made in a safe, technically correct and environmentally sound manner
