Specifications include, but are not limited to:The purpose of this Request for Proposal (the RFP) is to invite qualified bidders to prepare and submit proposals for aContent Delivery Network (CDN) with DDoS protection services to the University of California (UC), in accordance withthe requirements set forth in this RFP. There are two primary goals of this initiative: 1) To mitigate the risk of securitythreats such as, but not limited to, DDoS and targeted attacks against UC Davis web properties, and 2) To improve loadtime of web properties, particularly in foreign countries. Currently few-to-no UC Davis web sites are utilizing a CDN. Other high-stake web sites will be added over time.The overall objective of this RFP is to select a supplier or suppliers to assist UC in establishing the most cost effectiveand efficient procurement program while maintaining high standards of quality and service. Qualified suppliers are invited to submit proposals, based on the information provided in this RFP, with the intent toestablish a business alliance with UC that will maximize the resources of both organizations to most effectively meetUCs needs. Bids should include: 1) Details on the extent of security protection in place; 2) Security audits andcertifications (eg. SOC1 and SOC2, ISO27001 of FIPS, CSTAR CAIQ, etc); 3) One or more real-world examples ofattack mitigation; 4) Detailed responses to each requirement question
