Specifications include, but are not limited to: The primary purpose of The Citadel Museum is to provide a tangible representation of the institutions commitment to its core values of Honor, Duty, and Respect and to provide inspiration to our students to become the principled leaders we strive to produce in our mission statement. The secondary purpose is to serve as a teaching tool by connecting faculty, students, and the world at large, to primary materials to include both artifacts and primary documents as both objects of study and historical treasures requiring conservation. A proposed role of the Museum is the celebration of alumni achievement. Finally, The Citadel Museum serves as a recruiting tool. It enhances our brand, and informs the public of our proud history.
