Specifications include, but are not limited to:Chesterfield County is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide Consultant Services to assist the school division in meeting the requirements of the Notice of Violation (NOV) by developing a set of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). II. BACKGROUND Chesterfield County Public Schools (CCPS) has thirty-eight (38) elementary schools, twelve (12) middle schools, eleven (11) high schools and a technical center. CCPS is required to respond to a NOV that was issued by Chesterfield County regarding the improper disposal of cleaning solutions and wash water. III. SCOPE OF SERVICES The Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) must address both the management of liquids throughout the school system, storm water pollution prevention, items that may be disposed of in the sanitary sewer system or require other disposal methods, as well as a response plan in the event of an improper release. SOPs that are developed should, at a minimum, include the following components and/or procedures for the management of liquid wastes: An explicit listing of liquids that is permissible to discharge into the sanitary sewer system. This listing should be determined by coordinating with the Chesterfield County Pre-Treatment Coordinator. Storm water pollution prevention for activities occurring on CCPS sites. Specific guidance on how to properly manage liquid materials and wastes that are prohibited from being discharged into the sanitary sewer system. Examples may include laboratory wastes, kitchen wastes, janitorial materials and wastes, landscaping and pesticide control related liquids, automotive liquids and other liquid materials and wastes. This guidance should not only include the proper ultimate disposition of these liquids, but also interim storage requirements, to include containerization, labeling and inspections, as necessary
