Specifications include, but are not limited to:Within 10 days of the contract award, meet with staff from MSDE either in person or via a conference call to review the project requirements and timeline. The meeting will include the staff from MSDEs Division of College and Career Readiness/Career and Technology Education (CTE) Instructional Branch 2.Work collaboratively with team members to develop five (one per unit) mathematics lessons using financial literacy as the context for the lessons. Each lesson should align to the standards for personal financial literacy education and use the mathematics lesson template developed by MSDE which includes but is not limited to the following components: Background Information Essential Questions/Enduring Understandings Addressed in the Lesson Standards Addressed in This Lesson Lesson Title Relevance/Connections Student Outcomes Summative Assessment (Assessment of Learning) Prior Knowledge Needed to Support This Learning (Vertical Alignment) Method for determining student readiness for the lesson Common Misconceptions (See Algebra I Unit 1, unit plan, for strategies for dealing with the misconception.)
