Specifications include, but are not limited to:The International Arrivals Facility (IAF) Project will construct a new processing center for internationalarriving passengers. The IAF Project consists of three primary components: 1) The construction of theIAF Building on the east side of Concourse A over the existing South Ground Transportation Lot andsouth loading dock. The IAF Building will be approximately 345,000 square feet and two stories tall. 2) Anew elevated sterile corridor approximately 32 feet above apron level will serve Gates A6 to A14 andinclude approximately 45,000 square feet of floor space. 3) Construction of a new pedestrian bridge,which will span over the existing taxi lane from the South Satellite (SSAT) to the IAF building.The intent of Construction Management Services is to integrate with the IAF team and provide as neededconstruction support. The project is being delivered using a Progressive Design Build (PDB) deliverymethod in which the Design-Builder (DB) will be responsible for the primary design and constructionmanagement services. Roles and responsibilities for the Ports project team will be modified, asappropriate, from time to time based on need and the phase of the project. The current thinking is thatthe major focus of the tasks will be related to support of field operations with a strong emphasis oninspection and quality management. The tasks described herein will be typically performed in Portoffices or project worksites and may include any one or combination of the tasks listed below for thespecific assigned construction project. The scope of work within each task may support the planning,design, construction or closeout phases of the Port major construction projects to achieve schedule,budget and quality objectives.Task 1 Construction Inspectiona. Monitor and inspect the work of (DB) to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.b. Monitor and inspect the work of the (DB) to ensure compliance with Construction QualityPlan.c. Monitor and inspect the work of the (DB) to ensure compliance with accepted Work Plans.d. Review and become familiar with plans, specifications, submittals, drawings, change orders,and Requests for Information for requirements of the construction contract to be applied in thefield.e. Prepare and maintain documentation including inspection logs, daily reports, force accounts,materials testing, and other construction records. Coordinate required documentation withthat developed by (DB) to eliminate redundancies.f. Prepare and maintain digital photographic documentation of assigned projects.g. Take or verify field measurements/quantities for contract/construction payments.h. Coordinate and communicate construction activities between (DB)s, tenants, other Portdepartments, and the general public.i. Inspect project site conditions and ensure (DB)s utilize and maintain Temporary Erosion andSediment Control (TESC) best practices according the standards of each project; report anyTESC or environment related issues.
