Specifications

Specifications include, but are not limited to:CEI services provided on the project may be done through partnerships or with the use of subcontractors provided that the assembled team includes staff with expertise and experience in completing all of the tasks listed within this scope of services. Further, all firms, partners and subcontractors shall clearly indicate their area of individual company responsibility on the project and provide sufficient documentation of their expertise and experience with such work. A list of similar projects including results achieved shall be provided along with references and names of persons to contact. The CEI services provided for this project shall be as outlined and in accordance with the design plans and technical specifications. RP-21 SPECIFIC CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING (CEI) SERVICES: The CEI services to be provided may include, but not be limited to, the following: 1. Attend the pre-construction meeting. 2. Attend bi-weekly construction progress meetings. 3. Conduct review/comment/recommendations/approval of all shop drawings and materials to ensure conformity with contract documents and suitability for project as designed and for compliance with funding agency requirements including the American Iron and Steel Act. 4. Review the Contractors proposed schedule of values and construction schedule and provide comments and recommendations. 5. Review the Contractors maintenance of plant operations and unit treatment process by-pass plans to ensure compliance with the present permit requirements, acceptability with Utilities Department Operations staff and provide technical assistance, as needed, to revise plan to satisfy FDEP and Utilities Department Operations requirements. 6. Respond to technical RFIs encountered during the project construction process and prepare plan revisions, as needed, due to field conditions encountered. 7. Review proposed value engineering equipment substitution submittals by the Contractor and provide comments and recommendations. 8. Assist Utilities Department personnel to ensure that all required testing procedures as required in the plans and specifications are completed for this project. 9. Assist Utilities Department in review and approval of the Contractors monthly payment applications in accordance with the approved Schedule of Values. 10. Assist Utilities Department in review of Contractors change orders for additional and/or out of scope work and provide comments and recommendations
