The project consists of demolishing and replacing the existing 1, 183 foot long timber andconcrete bridge ( built in 1936), that carries Old Highway 99 North over the primary line ofBurlington Northern Santa Fe Railway ( BNSF). The new structure will include construction of athree span prestressed concrete bridge, structural earth walls, curb and gutter, sidewalks,stormwater system, and other work.The Burlington Northern Overpass is located 3 miles north of Burlington, WA on Old Highway 99North. The BNSF track runs on the east side of Old Highway 99 until just north of Cook Road,where it turns to the northwest and crosses under the road at this overpass.The work to be performed by the Consultant consists of Construction Administration for theproject, implementing the work of the contract plans and specifications including administrationof WSDOT Division 1- 9 specification requirements, performance and oversight of on- siteinspection activities, monitoring for compliance with local, state, and federal requirements,review contract payments, documentation, material management, oversight of specializedtesting, records retention, audit assistance, and weekly meetings. We are anticipating theconstruction timeline to begin October, 2016 and completed by April, 2018.No additional specifications were given.
