Specifications include, but are not limited to:Tacoma Waters, Water Supply Section is providing you with an opportunity to quotethis concrete ADA Ramp pavement restoration service within the City of Tacoma -Pierce County. This work category is outside our existing paving contract.Jurisdictional pavement requirements must be followed. Products or work not meetingjurisdictional requirements shall be replaced by the contractor at no expense to TacomaWater regardless of the impact of work, schedule, or cost. Payment will not be made forwork rejected by the jurisdiction. Final certificate of payment does not constitute anacceptance of work not done in accordance with jurisdictional requirements or relievethe Contractor of liability in respect to any express warranties or responsibility for faultymaterials or workmanship. The contractor will remedy any defects in the work and payfor any damage to other work resulting there from, which shall appear within a period ofone year from the permit closure date unless a longer period is specified. TacomaWater will give notice of observed defects with reasonable promptness. If it isdiscovered, before payment is required, that there is a failure to comply with anyjurisdictional terms and provisions, Tacoma Water has the right and may withholdpayment.The contractor will be responsible to obtain all required permits and approved trafficcontrol plans within the City of Tacoma. It is possible that other contractors or the City ofTacoma will be working in the project areas during the time of construction. It shall bethe responsibility of the contractor to coordinate its work with all other agencies and/orcontractors in the vicinity of the project area. All saw cutting, and tar sealing to complywith ESA Regional Road Maintenance Program guidelines. All encompassing work tocomplete pavement work including excavating roadway to firm unyielding sub-grade,backfill with 100% 5/8 crushed surfacing compacted to 95% density, saw-cut edges, tarseal edges, maintain catch basins, and gate box tops functionality, traffic control, andpaint striping and road reflectors, including cross walks shall be included in the pricequote. All removed material becomes the property of the contractor. All demolition shallbe removed from work site at contractors expense to a legal waste site
