Specifications include, but are not limited to:1. Goal Setting/Project Planning Goal setting and project planning is critical to the effective execution of this project. The selected consultant will: Be experienced with job classification and compensation structures and be able to manage a delicate process with order, good communication, and with our employees best interest in mind Work with the College to assess its goals and recommend appropriate methodologies for achieving those goals Review the current salary structure, compensation policies and procedures and their alignment with best practices Must be prepared to guide the College through a decision-making process, remaining sensitive to College goals and limited resources Provide a timeline that outlines key completion dates for the project phases, to begin on February 29, 2016 and completed by May 31, 2016. Once this process is complete, help present the project plan to College Leadership and the Board of Trustees 2. Job Analysis and Documentation Depending on the methodology elected during the goal setting/project planning phase of the process, the appropriate job analysis will compare jobs internally and to the relevant market. The selected consultant will: Provide a framework within which the Chief HR Officer (or designees) and other senior college officials will work to collect job and classification information. Provide recommendations for needed job description adjustments. ( See Appendix A List of Current Job Titles. Instructional positions are Instructor, Coordinator, Director, and Department Chair) . Note: The list of job titles is not all-inclusive or final. Some titles have been omitted due to position and organizational changes. Approximately 2% of jobs do not have job descriptions. There are approximately 320 employees in the scope of the project. Provide methodologies, surveys and support relating to the data collection process. Upon delivery of data, the vendor is responsible for demonstrating how data was collected. Provide job questionnaires to obtain accurate job information. Consultant will need to have access to various surveys without the college purchasing additional survey information. 3. Job Evaluation During the initial goal setting/project planning stage, the College and selected consultant will determine the most appropriate job evaluation method, taking into account the Colleges goals and available resources. The selected consultant will: Conduct job evaluations, thereby determining the relative worth of jobs internally and within the market. Gather job documentation questionnaires and conduct interviews with employees, as needed, during the data collection process.
