Specifications include, but are not limited to:Review existing City of Wilmington compensation plan for appropriateness, internal equity and external competitiveness. The following describes the various tasks that are expected to be completed to meet the requirements of this Request for Proposal:I.Meetings with key City employees and representatives to discuss any specific concerns with respect to the market analysis, specific market or recruitment issues. The City desires meaningful participation of key employees in the compensation process and year to year maintenance of the system. II.Establish appropriate benchmarking standards and a comparison and analysis of salaries andwages of like or similar jobs (external equity) of 70% of current positions in comparablegovernment entities and private employers in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia forwhich the City competes for a labor supply.III.Recommend needed changes to existing plan or propose a new plan that will achieve a marketrate structure and alleviate salary compression issues. Provide a 1, 2 or 3 year implementationschedule.IV.Begin Tasks on December 1, 2015
