Specifications include, but are not limited to:The Human Resources Department (HR) is requesting assistance in implementing the project plan (Appendix A), which will include engaging in tasks/activities, creating evaluation methods, securing resources needed, and incorporating best practice recommendations, as well as any other considerations to create an effective compensation structure for EHRA-NF employees. It is expected that this project will take place over two fiscal years (current FY16 ending June 30, 2016 and FY17 ending June 30, 2017). 1.Establish Compensation Philosophy a.Create interview instrument for upper-level leadership to be used to gain perspectives and understandings of values/principles and challenges on compensation. b.Use interview results to draft compensation philosophy. c.Assist in finalizing compensation philosophy. d.Any other activities associated with establishing a compensation philosophy. 2.Determine Job Architecture a.Review current job description template and revise if needed. b.Assist in developing workshops for managers. c.Assist in establishing job families and job family owners. d.Assist in preparing communication for managers regarding process and timing. e.Based on completed job descriptions, conduct preliminary job review, including job consolidation, title clean up, and employee mapping to each job. f. Assist with review and validation of job consolidation, titling and mapping with managers. g. Provide any other recommendations for job architecture. 3. Conduct Market Pricing a. Recommend and assist with the selection of the market pricing tool. b. Identify and obtain salary survey sources based on comparison markets set in compensation philosophy. c. Assist in loading surveys into market pricing tool. d. Review list of target benchmark jobs. e. Conduct initial benchmarking of UNCC jobs to market jobs. f. Adjust and finalize market matches; conducting an internal equity review before finalizing matches
