Specifications

Specifications include, but are not limited to:Contractor to clean wall mounted radiant steam heater units in four resident halls. Gardner, Coltrane, Bowie and Eggers. Gardner- 187 units. 147 in student rooms and 40 in public areas. Coltrane- 187 units. 147 in student rooms and 40 in public areas. Bowie- 194 units, 144 in student rooms and 50 in public and misc. areas. Eggers- 194 units, 144 in student rooms and 50 in public and misc. areas. Procedure: Remove unit cover. Covers may or may not have screws on sides but more than likely are painted together and may be difficult to get off. Covers lift straight up off channel. Vacuum inside of cover and inside of heater coil Wash inside cover, slide cover face down under coil put pan on top of cover under coil to catch all liquid. Spray coil at least twice or until clean. Use long bristle brush if necessary. Use canned air and carefully blow away liquid and debris into catch pan. Clean area under heater and any residue off wall or baseboard under heater Put cover back on and wipe off front of cover o If channel is knocked loose it will have to be reattached with tap cons. Extra tools and materials will be needed.
