Specifications include, but are not limited to:The Contractor shall perform all duties in accordance with the Insurance Industry Standards to manage allreported claims from inception to disposition, process claims in a timely manner and in accordance with allapplicable Federal and State laws. The Contractor shall be expected to investigate and manage all existingclaims, new claims reported and any closed claims that need to be reopened. The Contractor shall assurethat there is adequate staffing to support all claims processing and support services required by the FundMembers. All claims must be investigated and handled by the Contractors staff dedicated to workexclusively for the Fund and Board of Education Automobile Liability Fund.The Contractor shall clearly note on all correspondence, reports, records, etc. the date said document wasreceived by the Contractor and scan the documents into an electronic claim file for which thecorrespondence, reports, records, etc., pertain. The electronic claim file shall also contain all claiminformation and documentation, current postings of payments, reserves, recoveries and file activity notes.The Contractor shall be expected to be proactive in managing claims and take action to bring aboutexpeditious and equitable resolution to each claim. The Contractor shall further the Countys mission byeffectuating the following:1. Early reporting of claims;2. Timely and proper investigation of claims to include proper activity note documentation of allfindings in the pertinent claim file throughout the life of the claim;3. Prompt and accurate case claim reserving;4. Assure accurate coding of the claim file;5. Supporting returning injured workers to work as quickly as possible within6. whatever medicalrestrictions there may be;7. Identification of any other party involvement in a claim to include but not limited to theSubsequent Injury Fund;8. Negotiation and settlement of both litigated and nonlitigated claims, as directed by theCountys Office of Law and Risk/Claims Managers.
