Specifications include, but are not limited to:The City of Greenville, South Carolina (hereinafter referred to as City) is soliciting proposals to provide one or a combination of the following services on a competitive basis: Claims Administration including MMSEA Reporting. These services are to be provided for a primary term of three (3) years from the effective date with the right of the City to extend the Agreement for two (2) successive one (1) year terms by notification of the party by the City within thirty (30) days of the termination of the primary term or any extended term unless the Agreement is terminated earlier by parties as will be allowed in contract. The contract for claims administration will commence on July 1, 2016. All qualified firms interested in responding to the Citys request for proposals must adhere to the guidelines contained herein. Respondents may choose to respond to one or both of the services requested. The City reserves the right to award a single service contract to firms responding to more than one service request provided the firm did not state their proposal was contingent upon being awarded all services herein listed. 1.2Overview The City of Greenville is located in the upstate region of South Carolina and is the fourth largest City in the state, with a population of over 60,000. The City was incorporated in 1831 and adopted the Council-Manager form of government by ordinance in 1976. The governing body is composed of a mayor elected at-large and six council members, two of whom are elected at large and four who are elected from their respective districts. The City Manager is responsible for the daily activities of the Cit y s g o v e r n m e n t a n d f o r a p p o i n t i n g t h e v a r i o u s d e p a r t m e n t h e a d s . C u r r e n t l y nine department heads report to the City Manager and are responsible for the following departments: Police, Fire, Economic and Community Development, Parks and Recreation, Public Information & Events, Public Works, Office of Management and Budget, Transportation and Human Resources. The Citys fiscal year runs from July 1 to June 30. For FY 2015-2016, the City has an authorized staffing level of 980
