Specifications include, but are not limited to:The Weslaco Independent School District intends to enter into a Contract with one (1) respondent for the provision of diabetes management products in accordance with the following specifications.The Respondent must agree to supply the Blood Glucose Monitors at no charge to the District or its health plan participants.The Respondent must waive any processing and/or dispensing fee to the District for distribution of supplies.The Respondent shall submit to the District the proposed strategy to be used in order to ensure a comprehensive transition of the Districts participants to a new blood glucose meter. Please highlight a specific work plan for monitor distribution at no cost to the members. At a minimum, this strategy must include providing a dedicated twenty-four (24) hour; seven (7) days a week toll-free phone number and/or website for its customer service for blood glucose test strip monitor training.Quality StandardsThe Respondent and their product chosen for award MUST meet the following minimum qualification requirements for Blood Glucose Monitoring (BGM) Systems or their proposal will not be considered:Assay Method:Dynamic electrochemistry, coulometric electrochemical sensor, glucose oxidase biosensor, or electrochemicalOperating RangesNormal Operating TemperatureAt a minimum, the normal operating temperature for the BGM system shall be 50F (Fahrenheit) to 104F (Fahrenheit)HumidityAt a minimum, the BGM systems shall be able to operate at ten percent (10%) to eighty percent (80%) relative humidity.AltitudeAt a minimum, the BFM systems shall be able to operate at an altitude up to ten thousand (10,000) feet.Test SampleTest sample shall test fresh whole bloodBlood Sample SizeBlood sample size shall not exceed one (1) microliter
