Specifications include, but are not limited to:t is the intent of the County to obtain an experienced and licensed chiller-hydronic water treatment Contractor with Technical Service Representatives (TSR). TSR must be qualified in the water treatment field to protect the water side of chiller-hydronic equipment in order to obtain the designed life expectancy from that equipment while maintaining reasonable3RFQ NO. 2016000097maintenance and replacement costs in addition to maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for the Countys customers and staff. The successful Contractor shall provide chemical treatment services to include but not limited to chemicals, monitoring, technical services, consulting and testing of the systems as described. The goals of the treatment program are to cost effectively optimize equipment and piping life, minimize water and chemical use, maximize safety, minimize environmental impact and minimize container handling and operator workload. The primary TSR shall make a routine service visit to each of the designated sites on a minimum monthly (additional visits as required to maintain quality of results) basis to service the open cooling tower systems. Closed loop chiller-hydronic systems shall be serviced on a quarterly basis. The TSR shall conduct field tests on water samples from each treated system and write a field analysis report of findings and recommendations. The TSR shall review all reports with a designated County representative after each visit. Service visits shall be made during normal working hours on regular County business days. Monthly site visits and inspections shall be scheduled with a notification to the Facilities HVAC Division 24 hours prior to the scheduled visit. The Facilities and Construction Maintenance - HVAC Division points of contact will be provided to the awarded Contractor. Inspections to the water side of all treated equipment shall be performed by the TSR on occasions when the equipment is opened. The County will provide at least one (1) week notice of pending openings. Routine service visits shall include, but not be limited to: Required water analysis Inventory of treatment on hand Verification that application and control equipment is functioning properly Corrosion rate monitoring (quarterly) Microbiological evaluation Monthly reports provided to Facilities Construction & Maintenance HVAC Division including water analysis results, inventory, and comments
