Specifications include, but are not limited to: Swann Water Treatment Plant Installation of one (1) 10,055-gallon FRP storage tank in sodium hypochlorite service, two (2) 6,169-gallon XLPE storage tanks in hydrofluorosilicic acid service, and two (2) Owner-furnished sodium hypochlorite transfer pumps to replace existing tanks. All existing tanks are FRP. The Contractor shall remove all existing tanks and pumps to be replaced. The replacement tanks will be similar to the existing tanks in size, dimension, nozzle/opening sizes and layout, safety features, access features, and location. Work will require the partial removal/replacement of CMU walls to gain access to appropriate chemical rooms. The Contractor shall remove/replace galvanized ductwork in the fluoride room with FRP ducting and pressure wash existing ductwork in the sodium hypochlorite room to remove flaking paint. Electrical work to power and control tank level transducer/transmitter sets and new transfer pumps shall also be performed.
