Specifications include, but are not limited to:This is a design project for an 11 mile trail section to establish a substantial link in the Chattahoochee Hill Country Regional Greenway Trail System as proposed by the Path FoundationandasshownintheA t l a n t a R e g i o n a l C o m m i s s i o n s R e g i o n a l T r a i l N e t w o r k System This segment will address trip pattern needs by implementing a hard surface multi-use trail providing pedestrian and bicyclist access between two major park destinations (Sweetwater Creek State Park and Boundary Waters Park in Douglas County), that will generally follow the Chattahoochee River Alignment between the two parks. In addition, this project will include the identification but not design of a potential launch pad at Boundary Waters Park. The goal is to design this segment of the trail as one project, while creating construction plans that will allow for a phased implementation. Construction is anticipated to be implemented in a minimum of three (3) phases. Due to the complexity of the trail, its regional significance, and the numerous stakeholders, coordination meetings will be scheduled to discuss the implementation of amenities, style, and characteristics of the final trail design. The proposed project site is located in the County of Douglas, Georgia. The Consultant shall provide design services that consist of development of GDOT Plan and Development Process required documents. This scope should cover all GDOT required permitting, plan submissions, coordination and all tasks required to let this project to construction. These documents include but are not limited to the Concept Reports, Historical and Environmental Documents, Preliminary Design and Engineering Documents at 30%, 60%, and 90% completion that include development of conceptual and design development documents and preliminary outline specifications, Final Design and Engineering Documents that include the final concept and design development documents and approvals, final specifications, quantities, and constructions estimates, Utility Coordination, and Construction Engineering Services. These documents will be reviewed with the county and GDOT for approval. The final documents will be suitable for inclusion in solicitation documents.
