Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. Vehicles: It is anticipated that 5 buses will be used daily for each pilotproject. The contractor shall provide availability of a minimum of 5 minibuses,including driver, for each day of the pilot. Each bus shall be lessthan 26 feet 6 inches in length, have between twenty (20) to forty (40)seated passenger capacity and have the capability to apply branding foreach pilot. The vehicles shall operate 12-14 hours per a day for 20 daysand will be utilized to circulate throughout the convention center district tovarious locations as determined by staff. The OCCC will provide a finalschedule and recommended route for each pilot. An example of a proposedroute and dates of operation can be located as Attachment AAt least one of the 5 buses shall be ADA compliant. That vehicle will besubject to being pulled out of rotation to service an ADA need within 30minutes from request.On-board surveys may be conducted while the shuttles are in service.Surveys shall be conducted by OCCC staff at no cost to the vendor.b. Drivers: Drivers shall meet acceptable standards for safety, cleanliness;appearance and driver conduct and adhere to all OCCC policies andprocedures. Drivers shall all understand and speak English to the ridersand OCCC staff. Policies may include, but are not limited to: 1) tips andgratuities shall NOT be accepted; 2) drivers shall follow established routesand stops only at designated shuttle stops unless specifically directedotherwise by authorized OCCC staff; and 3) drivers shall follow allinstructions and/or directions given by OCCC traffic control staff. If a vendorchooses to subcontract the scheduled work, the awarded vendor is solelyresponsible to ensure the subcontractor has the necessary insurance asrequired by Orange County, licenses and ability to provide the contractedservices, and meets all requirements stated herein.
