Specifications include, but are not limited to:Visit each campus location and Central Services facility. 2.Benchmark other institutions of higher education with somewhat similar circumstances. 3.Evaluate current security measures and procedures; including phone and other communication methods to convey vital information, phone system, surveillance cameras, emergency response policy, training and communication, drills, etc. 4.Interview students, staff and faculty to ascertain their concerns and provide us with a summary. 5.Describe and prioritize the risks you believe we have in protecting the safety of our staff, faculty and students; including but not limited to: a.Scenario of a shooter or other potentially lethal threat b.Sexual or other assaults c.Mental illness and suicide intervention d.Property theft and vandalism e.Someone hiding within the facility at the time of building closure f.Other events that may cause the evacuation and/or lockdown of one or more CMC buildings g.Any other risks or incidents you feel we should be prepared for 6. Provide recommendations to address these threats most effectively. 7. Estimated range of total cost to the college to implement your proposed solutions. 8. Participate in safety events at various campuses where students, staff and faculty can be educated on what to be aware of and how to react if various security threats present themselves; and/or provide training materials that CMC leadership can deliver. 9. Deliver a report, both in writing and in person, to appropriate college authorities (may include our President, Board of Trustees or leadership team) on the state of our security measures. 10. Assist where necessary in developing and revising our emergency procedures; and confirm we are in compliance with any and all required federal or other mandates. 11. List of qualifications, credentials and licenses you would recommend we require the security firm(s) that we hire to maintain. 12. Ideas and/or best practices in cooperating with local law enforcement agencies. 13. Provide any other information that you feel may be helpful in our decision making process.
