Specifications include, but are not limited to:Eastern Kentucky University is requesting that Successful Offeror evaluate current security methods and systems and provide EKU a solution of where safety methods/system needs to be. The successful firm will demonstrate expertise in providing security consulting services for institutions of higher education, and specifically for the unique needs of similar campuses, which are open and accessible to students as well as the surrounding community. Successful Offeror will provide a campus safety & security assessment and preparation of an emergency preparedness, crisis response and recovery plan. Successful Offeror will conduct evaluations assessments and report as follows (but not limited to): Work with key university personnel to document and review current policies, procedures, and security objectives. Evaluate security policies and objectives relative to peer institutions of comparable threats and assets and provide a report identifying best practices in terms of policies and procedures, and management and the development of standards and operational and maintenance models Provide recommendations as to the creation, amending, or monitoring of policies, procedures, and security objectives Evaluate current facilities and technology (security cameras; access control; and mass notification and warning systems) in order to provide recommendations in alignment with promising or best practices. Review of the roles and responsibilities of decision makers, first responders, and other relevant personnel involved in a critical incident and provide recommendations for their most effective use A threat and vulnerability assessment that: o Identifies the wide range of realistic threats and vulnerabilities that the campus faces o Results in a recommended process to prevent, mitigate, and/or create a response plan o Plans for the training of faculty and staff to identify and respond to potential threats
