It is the desire of UNF to receive proposals from Vendors who have demonstrated potential for providing retail bookstore programs that maintain high standards of service, quality products and financially viable operations. Proposers are encouraged to be creative in proposing a total bookstore service program for the UNF Campus Bookstore that will provide a high level of customer satisfaction, competitive pricing, and strong return to UNF. 5.1 Bookstore Objectives In order to achieve the goals of UNFs Campus Bookstore program, UNF will consider the Vendors plan regarding the following objectives in its evaluation of proposals for managing and operating the Campus Bookstore to: Provide the UNF Community with a full range of merchandise and services expected from a quality academic Bookstore. Have sufficient quantities of textbooks and related supplies and materials, as required or recommended by the faculty for academic courses, available for purchase by students at the specific times the items are needed. Ensure that the specific requested editions of texts are available for sale. Minimize out-of-stock situations on textbooks and remedies for when out of stock occurs. Provide a wide selection of current trade, academic, and technical literature in support ofUNIVERSITY OF NORTH FLORIDA ITN# 16-18 28 required material for the academic disciplines of UNF. Offer a significant selection of merchandise such as supplies, UNF emblematic apparel, memorabilia, and other miscellaneous items. Provide timely response to customers requiring special order literature and other such materials. Provide convenient, user-friendly online transactions for students and faculty through a robust, comprehensive web presence. Provide textbooks and academic materials with an equitable textbook pricing policy. The Universitys current gross margin for new textbooks and academic materials is 25 percent. Provide other quality merchandise to the UNF community under pricing policies that are both fair and competitive for like or similar quality, as compared to other universities and area bookstores and also with retail establishments in the surrounding area. Keep apprised of new merchandise of interest to the UNF community
