Specifications include, but are not limited to:One (1) of Charlotte Countys major marketing initiatives this year is to define and establish thedestinations brand through a formal branding process. A crucial step in the branding process is formal market research,which would entail qualitative focus group sessions out-of-market. These would allow Charlotte County to gain insight intowhat the most competitive brand definition and market position may be for the area. Specifically, these focus groups woulddetermine the potential Charlotte County leisure visitors: Existing view of and beliefs about the destination Reasons for visiting the area Perceived view of and beliefs about the destinations competitive setThese out-of-market focus group sessions would be held in Charlotte Countys key feeder markets, including at least one (1)in-state drive market and one (1) out-of-state market of opportunity, and/or Allegiant lift market.It is highly recommended that this research would be conducted in two (2) phases:Phase 1 An initial input and fact gathering phase that would gauge, through the use of focus groups, the familiarity,images, experiences and perceptions of leisure visitors regarding Charlotte County.Phase 2 Conclusions Testing: verifying the validity and potential market impact of the proposed strategic branddirection. This phase provides a platform for gauging consumer reactions and acceptance levels related to thedestinations creative concepts and promotion materials.The chosen research firm would be expected to complete the following tasks: Define project purpose, objectives, and scope. Define respondent selection criteria Develop respondent participation screener/recruitment questionnaires Select the locations and facilities for the focus group meetings Recruit and confirm eight - twelve respondents for each of the six focus groups Draft and communicate moderator guide/agenda to project team Discuss and finalize research objectives andagenda themes
