Specifications include, but are not limited to:The City of Springfields Southwest Clean Water Plant produces Class B biosolids. The City generates an average of 6,000 dry tons of biosolids per year. The purpose of this contract is to use an outside Contractor to transport biosolids, when deemed necessary by the City, to a City approved dump site. The Contractor would enter the Southwest Clean Water Plant to load biosolids onto their own trucks using a City owned articulating wheel loader when a City employee is not available to load the trucks. The number of loads and trucks required will be communicated to the Contractor by the City. Under direction of the City, the loads will be transported to designated private farmland to stockpile for land application. The location for the dump site on private farmland will be designated by the City to the Contractor. Currently at the City approved dump site in the Willard area, an 18 cubic yard dump truck can haul five (5) loads in an eight (8) hour day at 1.6 hours per load. The Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, fuel, licenses, permits, taxes, insurance and any other items necessary to transport Class B biosolids to a City approved dump site, as required when required, for the City of Springfields Southwest Clean Water Plant, 3301 S. State Highway FF, Springfield, MO 65807.2.SCHEDULE: Work shall be performedduring normal business hoursbetween 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, except for City observed holidays. The City observes 9 scheduled holidays a year. The holiday schedule is as follows: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Presidents' Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day 3.GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: 3.1Contractor must comply with all Missouri Department of Transportation regulations.3.2 Contractor must comply with all Missouri Department of Natural Resources regulations for transporting biosolids. 3.3 Contractor shall start operations within ten (10) days after Notice to Proceed and thereafter within forty-eight (48) hours notice by the City, if weather permits, and complete work per the schedule provided by the City for that day.
