Specifications include, but are not limited to:The City of Baltimore, through the Baltimore City Department of Transportation(DOT), is seeking proposals from transportation firms or teams of firms to plan and operatethe existing shuttle/ transit service in and around the downtown and waterfront communitiesof Baltimore City. We seek qualified respondents and innovative business plans to providethese services. Respondents must provide, through their response to this RFP, a business planoutlining how they would continue a full-service operation, including vehicle procurement,management and operations, and customer service.B. The City has set as its principles in operating these services the following whichmust be achieved.a. Service must be sustainable and fiscally responsible.b. Service must be fast, frequent, reliable, easy to use and a viable alternative toprivate auto use.c. Service must continue to be linked to quality transfer locations and fringeparking facilities.d. Service must continue to be closely integrated with the location and schedule ofthe Baltimore water transit services.e. Service must continue to meet the needs of multiple rider markets (commuter,resident, tourist, etc.).f. Service must continue to be distinctive and well-marketed.g. Service must continue to be environmentally friendly
