Specifications include, but are not limited to:All athletic trainers shall be certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) andmeet Maryland Board of Physicians Licensure certification. Include a copy of NATA certificateand Maryland licensure.There shall be a total of three (3) athletic trainers; one athletic trainer based at each campus.Each athletic trainer is to provide seventy (70) hours of certified athletic trainer service perfourteen (14) days; an average of thirty-five (35) hours per seven (7) days; a maximum of forty(40) hours per seven (7) days, with a minimum of thirty (30) hours per seven (7) days.All home scrimmages, home games and home tournaments hosted by CCBC shall becovered by the athletic trainer including pre-game, in-game and post-game needs. Theathletic trainer will meet the needs of all teams involved in these competitions. CCBC will notbe able to conduct home competition against an opponent (including scrimmages, gamesand/or tournaments) without athletic trainer coverage as specified in this solicitation.The athletic trainer will be transferred from campus to campus to meet peak service demandsof the student athletes without compromising game day coverage at the assigned campus.The athletic trainer shall coordinate and schedule the annual physical exam process forstudent athletes at each campus and provide the physician to conduct the physical exams.Each student athlete is responsible for the payment of the physical exam.The athletic trainer shall implement and administrate concussion baseline and return to playtesting for all student athletes. Return to play from an identified injury or a medical condition issolely determined by the contractor/athletic trainer.The athletic trainer shall provide an alternative off-campus treatment site for student athletesin the form of a sports medicine clinic with appropriate treatment modalities.The athletic trainer shall maintain a current, complete listing of physicians, by appropriatespecialty, i.e. orthopedics, radiology, pulmonary, etc. for medical sports injury referrals. At therequest of the student athlete the athletic trainer shall provide student athletes this listing ofmedical professionals within 24 hours.The athletic trainer must schedule and coordinate a monthly injury clinic conducted by aphysician.
