Specifications include, but are not limited to:The Village of Oak Park is seeking the services of a qualified firm to provide professional services for the assessment, design, fabrication and installation of a graphically unified family of directional and informational signs. The wayfinding system will be designed to project a consistent image for the community and to improve navigation for all modes of travel. Signage should guide visitors, residents and employees to landmarks, cultural facilities, locations of interest, shopping, dining, and parking opportunities. Additionally the wayfinding signage system should promote walking, bicycling, and mass transit usage, and be sustainable as well as expandable. The project goals are as follows: Identify wayfinding signage needs based on current and future vehicular, pedestrian, and bicycling trends. Analyze existing wayfinding signage system and make recommendation for improvements to or replacement of the current system. Create a consistent signage and wayfinding system across a range of signage mediums.
