Specifications include, but are not limited to:. Vendor shall work between the hours of 9am and 3pm, Monday through Friday. Extending these hours beyond these operating hours may be requested to the contract manager and approved if valid reasoning is presented.2.The duties of Contractor include, but are not limited to, the following:Site visitIt is highly recommended prior to bidding for the vendor to consider all aspects of the project, including, but not limited to:Viewing existing area of pavement dimensions to be grinded and paved:22 x 23 Southbound side (approximate)12 x 12 northbound side (approximate)Pitch/slopeEnvironmental and operational factorsLocation - ALL school buses, municipal buses, and emergency vehicles shall be given priority over normal vehicular traffic.Parking, staging and traffic concernsVendor shall be responsible for all Maintenance of Traffic and must have an SHA certified Traffic Manager on-site at all times.Vendor shall be responsible for the security of all their tools, equipment, and materials.Vendor shall mobilize to the project site; provide Maintenance of Traffic for the duration of the project; Grind existing Hot Mix Asphalt/roadway at a depth of 3 within the specified work area limits; install 3+ of HMA Superpave 12.5mm for Surface, PG 64-22, HDFV, Level 2. Patching limits have been marked on the existing roadway surface; any questions before bidding may be directed to Mr. Sidney Johnson at the Salisbury Shop.The main goal of this project will be to cure deficiencies in the roadway to provide a smooth ride surface and transition. Area shall drain as intended and not pool excessive water.Vendor shall begin work within 2 weeks of SHA providing notice to proceed (pending weather conditions) and be completed by the 7th day weather permitting work day after starting the work. Work cannot be completed in temperatures or conditions that are below or outside of SHAs specifications as outlined in SHAs Standard Specifications for Construction and Materials, July 2008. Notice to proceed is expected to be given on or after April 7, 2016. All work shall be completed by 04/28/2016 or not later than 21 days after notice to proceed is given to the contractor.Vendor shall be prepared to redirect pedestrian traffic to ensure they are not impacted by the work to be completed. Vendor shall be responsible to keep all persons safe from the hazards of the work at all times.Vendor shall contact SHA contract manager Sidney Johnson upon determining the date work will start. All lane closure permits will be handled by Mr. Sidney Johnson.All markings will be replaced by SHA.Vendor shall abide by all MDE, MOSH/OSHA, Miss Utility, and other State and local regulations that impact the work being performed. Vendor shall supply SHA with a list of 3 references for which they have completed work of a similar nature within the last 2 years (see second page of bid form).
