Specifications

Specifications include, but are not limited to:General Scope. The City requires Service Providers to perform armored car Services at a number of City facilities throughout Mecklenburg County. Services include transportation of revenue collection Equipment, materials and deposits supporting City operations during normal operating hours of the facilities; responding to calls for service based on incidents that occur or other requests; providing reports of incidents and other statistical information; and performing other duties as outlined within this RFP and as directed by the City Project Manager. While the City is flexible with respect to certain elements of its proposed relationship with the Armored Car Services Service Provider, the City has certain preferences for that relationship and has developed the following proposed model for that relationship. 3.2.Services Overview. The City seeks consolidated armored car services for the transportation of revenue collection equipment, materials and deposits supporting City operations. The Service Provider shall be required to use vault transfer vehicles and armed personnel in the conduct of the Services requested in this RFP. It is the intent of the City to award one (1) or more contracts for all tasks in this RFP. The City may decide not to award tasks specifically denoted as optional, but each optional Service must be priced in your Proposal. 3.2.1.CATS Required Services: The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) is the public transit system in Charlotte. The City operates bus service throughout the Charlotte area and operates a light rail system called LYNX. The bus system operates daily from approximately 5:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m., and the LYNX Blue Line, operates services between the hours of 5:00 am and 2:00 a.m. daily
