Specifications include, but are not limited to:The City of San Mateo is seeking consulting services to provide all work required under the Environmentally Sensitive Areas Action Plan for the North Central Pedestrian Infrastructure Improvements Project during construction. The work includes installation of approximately 108 pedestrian scale street lights with related electrical conduit, and building curb bulbouts at 4 intersections. The consultant is expected to be familiar with NEPA requirements and the Caltrans Local Assistance process for federal aid projects. The consultant chosen for this project shall be responsible for the following tasks as included in the ESA Action Plan: 1.PreConstruction Phase: SOIS prehistoric archaeologist will prepare a construction alert sheet visually indicating the ESAs and describing the cultural materials likely to be present and circulated to all staff on the construction phase of the project. 2.Construction Phase: SOIS Prehistoric Archaeologist (or above), and a Native American Monitor will meet with City representative and construction staff to explain the location of the ESAs and the restrictions on work within the ESAs.
