The Contractor shall serve as the County's professional collector for delinquent accounts owed to Alachua County from all states, including but not limited to, parking fines, ambulance billings, Environmental Protection fees, Code Enforcement, and citation delinquent accounts. Awarded vendor of this proposal will obtain all first placement accounts with no secondary placements. The County at its sole option, reserves the right to add or delete locations and/or services as required during the entire contract duration. 3.1 General Requirements: The Contractor will provide collection services, including but not limited to the following. 3.1.1 Legal - Contractor shall evaluate appropriate delinquent accounts to determine potential for recovery through litigation and make recommendations to the County. Upon authorization by the County, the successful Contractor will proceed with the collection litigation process. Court fees associated with filing to pursue litigation are the responsibility of the County. Other legal fees and costs will not be assessed or paid by the County. 3.1.2 Collection Methodology - The Contractor shall utilize the work plan, as specified in the Contractor's service proposal. 3.1.3 The County may revoke an account placement at any time by providing written notice to the Contractor. 3.1.4 Format for Status Reports should be as follows: Client or Citizen Name Account # Payments Received Balance Payer Name 3.1.5 100% of the recovery percentage should be provided to the County. The County will remit Contractors fee back to the Contractor. The Contractor should submit a uniform fee for all type accounts. 3.1.6 The reports detailing patient information with charge/payment history will be provided to the Contractor electronically with PC Plus for Windows - ASCII format. 3.1.7 Ambulance Billings Delinquent Accounts: Receive delinquent emergency medical service accounts on a monthly basis from the Alachua County Fire Rescue Department by the 15th day of each month (subject to change). No additional specifications were given.
