Specifications include, but are not limited to:Materials: The materials shall consist of paint and glass beads. Traffic paint and glass beads usedshall be furnished by contractor and shall conform to Item 666, Reflectorized Pavement Markingsof the Texas State Department of Transportation 2004 Standard Specifications.Construction Methods: The contractor shall use a crew experienced in the work of installingpavement marking and in the necessary traffic control for such operations on the roadway surfaceand shall supply all the personnel, traffic control, and materials necessary for the placement of thepavement markings as directed by the County Engineer. All work shall be in conformance withthe current Texas MUTCD.The pavement surface to receive the pavement marking shall be cleaned of all material that willprevent adhesion of the paint to the roadway surface.The pavement markings shall be placed in the proper alignment with the edges of the centerline ofthe roadway surface as guides. Deviation from the alignment shall not exceed two inches, and inadditions, the deviation in alignment of the marking being placed shall not exceed one inch per200 feet of roadway nor shall any deviation be abrupt.
