Specifications include, but are not limited to:All district sites shall be mowed and trimmed weekly to maintain a neat, uniform appearance.District site shall not be mowed and/or trimmed more frequently unless requested by the District.No more than seven (7) calendar days shall pass between mowing at each site unless specifically requested by the district.Sites shall be trimmed every time they are mowed. Trimming includes weed whipping around buildings, structures, poles, fence lines, playground equipment, back stops, benches, dug outs, ditch lines and retention ponds areas. Contractor is responsible for controlling weeds beneath any utility poles and/or high tension towers.The Contractor shall provide a seasonal schedule to the district which should include the site location and day of the week in which the grass is scheduled to be cut. It is expected that the grass be cut the same day each week.The contract length is for 3 years. Contractor may terminate contract after year 2 with 30 days notice.The District will determine the start and end date of the contract each year. The District will contact the contractor any time after April 1 of each year to begin services and anytime after October 1 of each year to end services.The district reserves the right to postpone mowing operation when weather, financial or other conditions necessitate a reduction in the services. The school district also may cancel this contract at any time with 30 days prior notice.The contractor shall provide the owner with immediate means of communication. A cellular or after hours phone number of the person responsible for maintaining this contract must be provided on the bid proposal form.The contractor shall not apply any pesticides or herbicides without the districts written approval.Additional services or operations such as aeration, fertilization, dethatching, fall clean up shall be negotiated on as needed basis and approved in advance.Non-approved work will not be paid for.All mowing operations are to be performed using machines manufactured by companies recognized for producing quality commercial turf equipment.All equipment shall be mechanically sound and reliable.All blades will be sharp and properly adjusted for height and cutting sharpness.All mower decks shall be equipped and operated with discharge chutes at all times while on district property.At no time shall an operator of a piece of equipment leave equipment unoccupied and running or capable of being started.Mowers are to be set to cut a minimum of two (2) inches and grass shall never exceed a total height of four (4) inches between cuts.
