Specifications include, but are not limited to:Quarterly WETT testing at the Philadelphia Water Departments Northeast (NE) Southeast (SE), and Southwest (SW) Water Pollution Control Plants (WPCPs) is needed to generate chronic survival/reproduction and acute survival data for the cladoceran, Ceriodaphnia dubia and chronic survival/growth and acute survial data for the fathead minnow, Pimephales promelas. Determination of whether a test endpoint passes or fails shall be made using DEPs WET Analysis Spreadsheet by comparing replicate data for the control with replicate data for the Target In-Stream Waste Concentration (TIWC) dilution or any dilution greater than the TIWC. The Lab should have experence conducting or assisting with Toxicity Reduction Evaluation (TRE) and Toxicity Identification Evaluation (TIE) processes. Complementary chemical analyses are also required. The WETT contract lab must be accredited or certified by the PA DEP for the work that is done under this contract. PWD reserves the right to visit the lab prior to awarding a contract or selecting a contractor to verify the information provided in the response. The WET Testing analyses specified herein must be done by the primary contract lab and must not be subcontracted to another lab without prior written approval of PWD. PWD will consider such requests on a case by case basis.
