Specifications include, but are not limited to:WTAMU is seeking services of qualified firms to perform structural analysis and review of load carrying capacity of structural members and systems in the current Commerce Building at 720 South Tyler Street in Amarillo, Texas. Building is a 3 story concrete structure and with full basement of approximately 96,600 gross square feet. Said property currently owned by the Amarillo Economic Development Corporation (AEDC) and is under consideration for acquisition by the Texas A&M University System, West Texas A&M University. As a part of the acquisition process a structural analysis for the facility is required. The University has access to limited documentation from the original construction and one renovation. None of this documentation is structural. Methods utilized for evaluation shall be non-destructive in nature unless there are areas that would allow small exploratory investigation or there are current openings that may reveal information on internal reinforcement Criteria for consideration of firms: be capable of providing services necessary to perform said capable of providing minimum deliverables as noted below. have on staff structural engineer(s) Licensed Professionals in the State of Texas. have a minimum of five (5) year experience in building structural design and analysis. capable of field investigation, have access to equipment and personnel to obtain the necessary study data. be able to provide the necessary insurance
