Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this specification is to contract with a vendor to provide and install rebuilt Allison automatic transmissions on an exchange basis, with parts and labor for related installation, as well as transmission rebuilding, parts, repairs and maintenance, on an as-needed basis per the attached specifications, for a three year period, approximately July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2019, with the option to renew by mutual agreement for three additional one-year periods. Respondents may quote Exchange, Rebuilt units, or both, at their option. This contract covers transmissions, replacement/repair parts, and service for the current fleet of City of Tacoma vehicles and any additional units purchased during the contract period. Most vehicles will be at Solid Waste Utility/Refuse. Respondents who wish to inspect the fleet prior to bidding shall contact Johnnie Odell Williams, Shop Supervisor, at 253-593-7704.
