Specifications

Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Change Engine Oil, and oil filter oil filter shall be dated with magic marker on installation. Old engine oil/filter must be disposed of properly, list same on report. 2. Test engine protective and automatic shutdown devices, where applicable, low oil pressure, low coolant level, high coolant temperature, overspeed, etc. and any and all other safety devices the equipment may be equipped with. List findings on report. 3. Test Battery and log charging voltage, where applicable. Check and inspect battery cables and posts. Keep battery posts and cable clamps clean and tight. Check for proper electrolyte level in battery cells where applicable, add distilled water when necessary. NEVER use tap water. Inform Work Control at 516.576.5031 if the battery is required to be replaced. Authorization to proceed may be given at that time. 4. Perform operational test under load conditions (minimum run time 30 minutes) take amperage readings each leg, log same on report. 5. Inspect transfer switch and all electrical connections for proper operation and condition, log findings on report. 6. Check/clean or replace air filter. 7. Check/adjust vbelt for alignment and tension where applicable. Tension is correct when a force of about 20lbs, applied between pulleys, causes a belt deflection of 1/4 to 1/2 inch. Check all cooling system hoses for condition, change any hoses that require replacement as necessary, and log on report. 8. Check block heater for proper operation, where applicable. 9. Clean/wipe down all generator housings/enclosures. Report any oil/antifreeze leaks, where applicable. Correct those deficiencies wherever possible. 10. Check all fuel/exhaust plumbing for leaks, correct where necessary. 11. Check all fluid levels including oil, antifreeze, and battery. Top off as necessary 12. Adjust frequency (Hertz) to correct noload setting according to manufacturers recommendations. 13. Check noload voltage, adjust voltage regulator if necessary. 14. Replace fuel filter/bleed the fuel system where applicable.
