Specifications include, but are not limited to: Through a competitive Request for Proposals (RFP) process, King County Elections (KCE) and the Seattle Foundation (SeaFdn) will collectively make available approximately $140,000 for a 2016 pilot initiative to increase voter participation among Chinese, Korean, Latino and/or Vietnamese limited English speaking (LES) communities. SeaFdn will provide a combined total of at least $50,000 in up-front grant funding and KCE will release fee-for-service reimbursements of about $90,000 for total investments of approximately $140,000. This exciting and unique government and philanthropic collaboration aims to partner, learn with and award up to $25,000 in combined grant/contract funding to community based organizations focused on voter engagement with Chinese, Korean, Latino and Vietnamese LES communities.
