Specifications include, but are not limited to: This project consists of the furnish and install of new traffic signal poles,mast arms and luminaire arms that shall include the reset of existing luminaire fixtures,signal heads, pedestrian heads, internally illuminated street name signs, banded signs,pedestrian push buttons, Opticom receivers, video detection cameras, radar detectors,radio antennas and associated wiring and equipment. The cost for pole and arms shallinclude the cost to reset all attached equipment. In addition, this project consists of furnishand install new vehicle detection systems. The cost for each detection system shall includethe installation of all equipment, hardware, wiring and connections necessary for a fullyfunctional system according to City and manufacturer specifications. Removed detectionequipment such as cameras and interface equipment shall be returned to the City. 2. Allsignal pole locations will require the removal and disposal of the existing signal pole andarms and most will include the installation of the new pole directly on to the existing anchorbolts. Contractor is responsible for disposal of the removed traffic signal pole and arms.Where applicable, the cost to install new caissons shall also be included in the cost for thelocation pay item to include 3 each 2 Schedule 80 PVC conduits from the new footing tothe existing adjacent signal pole pull box. 3. Reset of existing overhead signals requiresnew sky/astro type brackets and wiring. 4. Reset of existing pole mounted signals incudesreset of existing wiring and brackets. 5. Reset existing push buttons with new City suppliedpedestrian push button signs. 6. Cost to install pole and arms shall include the cost ofUniform Traffic Control and any other traffic control measures as required by the MUTCD.7. Lowell & 80th southeast pole luminaire arm not to be installed, deliver to the City. 8.Lowell & 80th southeast pole requires reset of 1 radio panel. The contractor is responsiblefor unloading the delivered traffic signal poles and equipment at the Citys staging areanear 100th Avenue and Alkire Street or at an approved alternative single point of deliverylocation
