Specifications

Specifications include, but are not limited to: IDEAL FUTURE STATE:Miami University employees swipe (magnetic strip) or tap (imbedded chip) their Miami University ID before fueling. Asset to be fueled has an RFID tag. Pumps are activated when an employee who is authorized to fuel an asset presents his or her Miami University ID and the RFID tag of the asset is recognized as being eligible to be fueled. All assets into which fuel can be dispensed can be identified by the system. Limits can be placed on fueling by time, by employee, by asset or any combination of the three. For example, an employee may be restricted to pumping only 25 gallons of fuel per day, the vehicle he or she is driving has a twenty gallon tank and therefore is limited to 20 gallons, and the employee can only fuel the vehicle during working hours. For example, 7am-4pm.
